Co-hosted by Annabelle Breakenridge – Women’s Health Magazine winner of The Body Competition
31 July 2017
Fit2B UK brings you a fitness dance extravaganza like never before. On Saturday 5th August 2017 at Flow Dance London, 1-3 Brixton Road SW9, ‘Fit2Beat’ event is the place to be. The smoke and alcohol-free fitness party starts at 7pm and ends at 1am and is a female only event. It is specifically designed for women of all ages to come together and workout in a fun, judgment free atmosphere.
Annabelle Breakenridge, a Brixton native and the 2016 Women’s Health Magazine winner of The Body Competition will co-host the fun fitness event. The Fit2B event will feature five fitness dance instructors who will be leading half hour sets to a variety of music genres. They include a qualified Zumba instructor who believes in letting the music move you, a duo who believe in empowering and educating women to take control of their health and much more including a former Great Britain Olympic sprinter.
Fit2B are all about wellness empowerment and their goal is to teach others to become better at looking after their health and fitness. They aim to provide clients with the tools necessary to make wellness a part of our everyday life, staying with them for a time and leaving when the clients are fully equipped to manage on your own; all the while leaving the door open for if or when you need a refresher. Fit2B is the brain child of co-founder Yehnine Gayle a former sprint athlete that competed nationally and is now a qualified personal trainer.
The second co-host for the event is the other half of Fit2B UK, Mikki Barrett. Originally from Brixton, Mikki has lived bi-coastally for more than 20 years, eventually settling in Florida. Now a well-seasoned exercise specialist and wellness coach she brings a transatlantic perspective to health and wellness that will be evident on the night the event unfolds.
Annabelle Breakenridge commented:
“I’m looking forward to hosting the Fit2B fitness party just for women. I believe it’s important that we look after ourselves with good clean eating and exercise. FIT2B are making exercise fun by having a fitness party, we all like to have fun and dance so why not dance your way to fitness.”
Mikki Barrett, co-founder of Fit2B UK commented:
“With the rise of metabolic disease in our communities, we are keen to bring this innovative fun style of working out to women. With research showing that the incidences of stroke among middle aged women has been on a steady rise, particularly in recent years and is the third leading cause of fatality among women we are really passionate about getting women moving and active. We live by the motto – take care of your body today so it will take care of you tomorrow – so we’re keen to get local women moving so they can reap the benefits of good health.”
As you can’t have a party without a DJ, the renowned DJ Shy One will be spinning on the decks prior to and in between the instructors’ sets. In addition, there will be two beauty therapists doing five-minute manicures falling in line with Fit2B’s overall philosophy of encouraging women to take care of themselves inside and out.
Freshly made smoothies will be available for purchase from the bar to keep you hydrated and there will also be opportunities to win some great prizes.
